§ 9. Sir FRANCIS WATSONasked the President of the Board of Trade if, in view of the report of the German Ministry for economic affairs with regard to the stale of the leather trade in Germany, and in view of the danger of surplus German leather goods being dumped in this country, he is prepared to take any action in the matter?
Mr. WEBBIf the hon. Member can furnish me with fuller particulars of the report to which he refers, I shall be glad to receive them; but at present I do not see that any action on the part of the Government is possible.
§ Sir F. WATSONHas not the right hon. Gentleman access to the report which has been issued?
Mr. WEBBNo such report has been received at the Board of Trade nor, so far as I can ascertain, at the other Departments. I have seen statements in the newspapers purporting to relate to some such report, but it is not clear what report it is.
