HC Deb 07 July 1924 vol 175 c1782
98. Mr. HOGGE

asked the Secretary to the Treasury what is the number of temporary civil servants in receipt of a basic salary of £500 and over; the numbers of such who on 4th August, 1914, were of military age; the numbers of such who were medically unfit for military service; and the numbers of such who served in His Majesty's Forces during the War, and the length of their periods of service?

Mr. GRAHAM

The material for answer to this question is not available, and could only be collected by somewhat elaborate inquiries in all the Departments. I fear that the value of the return asked for would not justify the labour and cost of its collection.
