HC Deb 07 July 1924 vol 175 c1764
42. Mr. LAMBERT

asked the Prime Minister whether any communications have been made by the Government to the signatories of the Washington Conference relating to the dates of authorisation, dates of laying keels, and the standard displacement of British replacement tonnage; and, if so, can such communications be published?

The PRIME MINISTER

Instructions were sent on the 8th February, 1923, to His Majesty's representatives at Paris, Rome, Tokyo and Washington to communicate to the Governments to which they were accredited the particulars concerning British replacement tonnage required by the Washington Treaty. I hope the House will agree that there is no necessity to publish the text of these instructions.
