24. Mr. GRAHAM WHITE

asked the President of the Board of Education if he has received any Report relating to his Department from Lord Meston's Committee of Inquiry into the system of percentage grants to local authorities?

Mr. TREVELYAN

I understand that the Committee have not yet issued a Report. As the Committee was set up by the Treasury any Report which they might issue would be addressed to that Department.

Sir JOHN MARRIOTT

Has the right hon. Gentleman made any inquiries with regard to that Report, from the point of view of the Board of Education, with which it is largely concerned?

Mr. G. WHITE

Is any change contemplated in the present arrangements?

Mr. TREVELYAN

No. As regards the other question, I am, of course, interested in the result of the Report.
