HC Deb 17 January 1924 vol 169 cc233-4
Sir WILLIAM BULL

I beg to move, That there be laid before this House a return of the names of every Member returned to serve in the Thirty-second Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, appointed to meet the twentieth day of November, 1922, and dissolved the sixteenth day of November, 1923, specifying the names of the county, city, university, or place for which each Member was returned (in continuation of Parliamentary Paper, No. 97, of Session 1923). I tried to secure that the descriptions of the Members should also be included in that Return, but I found this was not possible. I therefore ask Members if they will kindly send me voluntarily the description returned with the writ in each case, because I think it will add very much to the value of that Return as a means of identification later on and for purposes of research, ensuring that the description of each Member will be carefully preserved.

Mr. W. THORNE

Does the right hon. Gentleman mean that each Member should send in a description of his profession, trade, or calling?

Sir W. BULL

Yes, if hon. Members do not mind.

Mr. W. THORNE

You can easily have mine.

Question put, and agreed to.
