HC Deb 26 February 1924 vol 170 c255
66. Mr. ORMSBY-GORE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many ex-Ministers, other than ex-Lord Chancellors, are now in receipt of any pension from public funds; who are at present in receipt of the four Civil Service pensions provided by statute; and what sum is provided in the Estimates for the current financial year in respect of these pensions?

Mr. SNOWDEN

Apart from naval and military pensions, with regard to which I have no particular information, I am not aware that any ex-Ministers, other than ex-Lord Chancellors, are now in receipt of a pension from public funds. No pensions are now being paid under the Political Pensions Act, 1869, and no provision is made for them in the Estimates.
