§ 31. Mr. STRANGERasked the Minister of Pensions if he will consider the desirability of granting full disability pensions to all those with war disability during the period of their unemployment in view of the fact that there are large numbers of disabled ex-service men now receiving Poor Law relief who are thus maintained at the expense of the ratepayers of the particular locality in which they happen to live, instead of at the expense of the whole community on whose behalf they have suffered?
Mr. ROBERTSI have no authority to adopt this suggestion, which is entirely inconsistent with the principle on which disablement pensions are required to be awarded.
