asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the French Parliament has yet ratified the Resolutions of the Washington Conference for the mitigation of the horrors of submarine warfare on shipping?

The answer is in the negative.

Can the right hon. Gentleman ascertain why these Resolutions are not submitted to the French Chamber, in view of the long delay that has taken place.

Mr. PRINGLE

Has the Government any expectation that this ratification will be given?
