HC Deb 18 February 1924 vol 169 c1313
73. Sir H. BRITTAIN

asked the Prime Minister whether he is able to give any approximate date for the introduction of a Bill to deal with coal smoke abatement?

The MINISTER of HEALTH (Mr. Wheatley)

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given on Tuesday last to the hon. Member for Springburn (Mr. Hardie).

Sir H. BRITTAIN

But seeing that there is nothing more important than the health of the people, will the right hon. Gentleman do all he possibly can to expedite the passing of this Measure?
