§ 11. Mr. HARDIEasked the Minister of Pensions whether he will pay all reparation awards in cash and prevent the present confusion due to the demand for 984 production of receipts and also the fraud forced upon unemployed men who procure sham purchase slips to get the money to keep them from starvation
Mr. ROBERTSI am not clear what my hon. Friend's difficulty is, but if he has in mind the method of payment of a lump sum granted in lieu of a final weekly allowance, I may say that in this matter I am guided by the advice of my War Pensions Committees. If my hon. Friend has any particular case in view perhaps he will be good enough to discuss it with me, and I will do my best to meet him.
