§ Mr. A. GREENWOODThis Amendment and following Amendments are Amendments to the Clause dealing with the revision of contributions payable to local authorities. We desire to accept the principle of these Amendments. As the Bill left the Commons, it was proposed that contributions should be revised triennially. In another place Amendments were inserted to reduce the period between revisions to two years. There is no substantial objection to that, provided that the two years cover two complete building seasons. Our proposals, therefore, are to accept the principle of this and the three following Amendments, but to amend each of them.
§ Mr. SPEAKERIt will be necessary to amend the Lords Amendment and then to agree to it as amended. These are technically matters of privilege.
§ Amendment made to Lords Amendment: After the word "six" insert "after the first day of October in that year."
§ Lords Amendment:
§ In page 9, line 18, leave out "third'' and insert "second."

§ In page 9, line 18, leave out "in any third succeeding year" and insert instead thereof "in each second succeeding year after the first day of October in such year."
