§ 44. Mr. NAYLORasked the Minister of Transport whether, in view of the further increase in the number of fatal and other traffic accidents in London during the three months ended 30th June, he proposes to take any steps to bring about a reduction in the number of such accidents and to secure the greater safety of foot passengers?
§ Mr. GOSLINGI need hardly say that every effort is made by the authorities concerned to ensure the safety of foot passengers in London, and I hope that the setting up in the near future of the Advisory Committee, under the London Traffic Bill, will lead to a closer co-ordination of these efforts.
