In page 7, line 25, at the end, insert:
and the Minister may if he thinks fit make it a condition on giving his consent under this Sub-section to the breaking up of the street or part thereof that all works in connection therewith shall be carried out at night by commencing the same after the hour of eight in the evening and completing the same by the hour of eight in the morning, and if not then completed by carrying on the same continuously by day and night.

§ Colonel ASHLEYIf you are going to carry out the work at night, obviously the cost will be more than if it were carried out during the day. On whom will the obligation rest to find the extra money involved?
§ Mr. GOSLINGUndoubtedly, it will he upon those who have to carry out the work, and that is why the greatest discretion will have to be used in the matter.
