HC Deb 10 May 1923 vol 163 cc2566-7
45. Colonel NEWMAN

asked the Prime Minister whether, having regard to the ties in commerce and sport which existed between the British and Magyar nations before the War, he will use his influence with the nations comprising the greater and lesser entente so that, under the guidance of the League of Nations, the same financial help may be given to Hungary as was lately afforded to Austria with such happy results?

Mr. BALDWIN

His Majesty's Government regard favourably the efforts which are being made to relieve the financial situation of Hungary. The matter is at the moment under the consideration of the Reparation Commission.
