HC Deb 21 March 1923 vol 161 c2548
39. Sir WILLIAM DAVISON

asked the Minister of Labour whether he can now inform the House as to the names of the local authorities in Great Britain who arc not on the King's Roll?

Sir M. BARLOW

The National Council for the King's Roll considered at its meeting yesterday the attitude of local authorities to the King's Roll, and decided to send a special appeal to all county, town and borough councils in England, Scotland and Wales not on the Roll. Until the results of this appeal are known, they decided not to advise any action with regard to the publication of names.

Sir W. DAVISON

Will the right hon. Gentleman explain what is the meaning of this long-continued consideration for these unpatriotic bodies?
