§ Mr. BALDWINThe reply to the first part of the question is in the negative. If my hon. Friend will furnish me with particulars of any case in which it is alleged that undue delay has occurred, I will cause inquiry to be made in the matter.

Mr. WELLSasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will give an undertaking that, at any rate in all those eases where claims for repayment of Excess Profits Duty have already been sent in, the taxpayer shall not be prevented from recovering such duty by any legislation which may be introduced in the forthcoming Finance Bill?
