HC Deb 08 March 1923 vol 161 cc693-4
29. Mr. LAWSON

asked the Minister of Pensions what instructions have been issued with the intention of modifying the effect of the Royal Warrant, 21st June, 1922, in its application to cases coming under the seven years' limit; and whether he can give the assurance that in no ease does the seven years date from the first removal from duty when the man has afterwards returned to duty and served?

Major TRYON

Instructions have been issued which make it clear that in no case will the period of seven years date from the first removal from duty if the man, after being temporarily removed from duty for a War disability during service, subsequently returned to service, and it is found that his subsequent service materially aggravated or caused a recurrence of the same disability and his death occurred on account of it.
