HC Deb 08 March 1923 vol 161 c686
3. Mr. BROTHERTON

asked the Minister of Pensions whether, after notification of a final award of 156 weeks at 10s. 6d. per week and a terminal gratuity of £40 has been received, it is possible to draw the whole amount involved in one sum?

Major TRYON

Payment of a final weekly allowance may be made in one sum where the applicant can show that it, is to his distinct and permanent advantage, and that hardship would result from a refusal of his application.
