asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Army and Navy Co-operative Society, Westminster, who have recently opened a series of retail shops and have invited their members to nominate honorary members as customers, will now be charged Income Tax on their profits at the same rate as other retail traders?

The Army and Navy Co-operative Society, Westminster, is a Company registered under the Companies Acts, and is, like other such companies, chargeable with Income Tax on its profits.
