§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSI am informed by the Exhibition authorities that the total expenditure incurred to date on the British Empire Exhibition has been, in round figures, £750,000. The total gross expenditure to the close of the Exhibition is estimated at £2,435,000, and the total guarantees received to date are £1,203,000. The answer to the last part of the question is in the affirmative.
