DAVIESasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport whether he is aware that a private company is about to be formed with the object of constructing private roads for motor traffic; whether he is able to state what capital is involved in this project; what progress, if any, has already been made by the company; and what are the roads to be constructed in the first instance; and whether he will state the attitude of the Ministry towards the proposal to establish private roadways on a large scale in this country?
