4. Mr. SHORT

asked the Minister of Pensions whether he is aware that A. Wells, No. 341074, Royal Engineers, residing at 71, Bridge Street, Wednesbury, is in receipt of a pension of 13s. 11d. per week; that he suffers acutely from some nervous disorder; that he has been unable to work since his discharge from a mental institution, and that since 4th July he has been bedfast; and, if so, will he cause inquiry as to whether this is a case for a full pension or special treatment, and full treatment allowances with suitable training?

Arrangements are being made for this man to be admitted to hospital for a course of treatment, during which treatment allowances will be paid.
