Mr. HAYDN JONESasked the Under-Secretary of State for War whether his attention has been called to the condition of the main road leading from Trawsfynydd, County of Merioneth, to the artillery camp at Rhiwgoch; and whether, in view of the fact that its unsatisfactory condition is due to the 201 extraordinary traffic to and from the camp, steps will be taken by the War Office authorities to contribute to the cost of putting and maintaining the road in proper repair?

Member had already called my attention to this matter, and I had informed him that I would make inquiries and let him know the result as soon as possible. A report has since been obtained from the local military authorities, and the matter will be considered in consultation with the Ministry of Transport.
