HC Deb 23 July 1923 vol 167 c27
45. Mr. PENNEFATHER

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the disappointment of supporters of the Government at the postponement of the debate on the capital levy from this day to an unknown date, he can arrange a day for a debate on the capital levy before the House rises?

The PRIME MINISTER (Mr. Baldwin)

In view of the state of Parliamentary business, I regret that it will not be possible to meet my hon. Friend's wishes before the House rises, but I have every hope that an opportunity will be afforded for this discussion in the autumn.
