Mr. GILBERTasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Transport whether his attention has been called to the great overcrowding at certain hours of the day on the Waterloo and City Tube Railway, and can he take any steps to provide more accommodation at these hours; is he aware of the bad access and egress for passengers using the Bank station on this railway; that both streams of traffic meet in the long slope to the platforms; and can he bring any pressure to bear on the company in order to improve this exit in the interests of the safety and convenience of the public?
