§ Commander EYRES-MONSELLThe answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. The whole amount mentioned was spent. The total cost of the two vessels, as so far ascertained, including provision for interest and insurance, was £794,209. On this basis, the total loss on the two vessels was £172,709.
