§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSThe total amount remitted to date is £4,745 4s. 1d., of which £2,551 17s. 2d. is principal and £2,193 6s. 11d. interest. Under Section 15 (2) of the National Debt and Local Loans Act, 1887, the amount of principal written off has been made good to the Local Loans Fund out of moneys provided by Parliament.
