§ 98. Mr. TILLETTasked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been called to the fact that when licensed vehicle drivers in the Metropolitan area are summoned by the magistrates for 1356 minor offences they are additionally punished by the police authorities suspending for a period their driving licence, thus depriving them of the means of earning their livelihood; and will he take steps to prevent this dual punishment for one offence?
