§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON - EVANSApart from the Marconi Company, only one private company has recently applied for a licence to erect a high-power station in this country. This application is under consideration. No such licence has even been issued for commercial purposes to any private company other than the Marconi Company, although licences in respect of high-power stations for experimental purposes were issued some years ago to three other companies.
