§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of TRANSPORT (Colonel Ashley)I have been asked to reply. The average consumption of coal per unit (kilowatt hour) generated at the Dalmarnock Power Station during the past year was 1.99 lb. The lowest average consumption at any steam power station in Great Britain during the year was 1.73 lb. per unit generated. The Commissioners have no particulars concerning generating stations in Ireland which are no longer under their jurisdiction.
