HC Deb 04 July 1923 vol 166 c413
10. Mr. MOREL

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether an undertaking was given by the Polish Government when the partition of Upper Silesia was arranged that Poland would refrain from introducing compulsory military service into the portions of Upper Silesia which became Polish under that decision; and whether information has reached His Majesty's Government of an intention on the part of the Polish Government to apply the Polish military law to that territory?

Mr. McNEILL

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. His Majesty's Government have no information with regard to the intentions of the Polish Government as to the application of the Military Service Act to Polish Upper Silesia.
