§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for the COLONIES (Mr. Ormsby-Gore)I have no information in the matter, but an inquiry will be addressed to the Governor of the Tanganyika Territory with regard to it. The transfer of Tabora from Belgian to British occupation took place early in 1917, while military operations were still in progress, and before the civil administration was organised.
