HC Deb 01 August 1923 vol 167 c1437
2. Mr. ENTWISTLE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he has received satisfactory assurances from the Russian Government that British fishing vessels will not in future be molested while fishing off the Murmansk coast outside the three-miles limit?

Mr. McNEILL

A communication was made to His Majesty's Government by the Russian Trade Delegation on the 22nd June last to the effect that the local authorities had been advised to abstain from interfering with British fishing vessels outside the three-mile limit. Whether this assurance is satisfactory or not will depend on how it is fulfilled.
