HC Deb 01 August 1923 vol 167 cc1447-8
19. Mr. GILBERT

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether, in view of the great popularity of previous visits in recent years of the Fleet to the Thames, he can arrange for such a visit during the ensuing autumn months?

Mr. AMERY

I am afraid that, owing to important exercises and trials having to be carried out in the autumn, it will not be possible to arrange for a visit to the Thames this year.

Captain MARTIN

Will the right hon. Gentleman consider a visit next year?

Mr. AMERY

Certainly.
