§ Lieut.-Colonel LANE-FOXAccording to the returns furnished to my Department, the number of coalwinding days lost by the mines in Fifeshire and the Lothians during March owing to transport difficulties was negligible (less than 01 of a day per week on the average. As regards the last part of the question, I have not been asked to take any action to relieve congestion at the Scottish ports, nor do I think it would be in my power to do so.
