§ 79. Mr. CECIL WILSON
asked the Postmaster-General what is the present position regarding the new telephone exchange at Sheffield; and whether any provision for expenditure during the year 1923–24 appears in the Estimates?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKS
The foundations have been completed and the erection of the steel framework is proceeding. Tenders have been invited for the building contract proper. The necessary financial provision for the erection of the exchange is made out of the Telephone Loan, and does not therefore appear in the Estimates.
