Mr. CHARLES ROBERTSasked the Prime Minister whether, repeated promises having been given that the fullest opportunity will be provided for discussing the letters patent granting responsible government to Southern Rhodesia, it is the intention of the Government to allow this to take place on the Colonial Office Vote; or whether, in view of the large and varied issues, he will be prepared to set aside a day, or part of a day, for the purpose?
§ Mr. BALDWINIt will, I am informed, be necessary to introduce a Supplementary Estimate in connection with the grant of responsible government to Southern Rhodesia, and an opportunity for discussion will, therefore, be available on this Vote.
