HC Deb 18 April 1923 vol 162 cc2057-8
112. Sir C. YATE

asked the Under- Secretary of State for India whether Indian officers of the Indian Army who have been granted King's commissions for distinguished service are to count their full previous service as officers and half their service as non-commissioned officers for pension in the same manner as warrant officers of the British Service when promoted to commissioned rank, or what rules have been laid down on the subject?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Earl Winterton)

The point was referred to the Government of India after it was raised by my hon. and gallant Friend last year, but the Secretary of State has not yet received their views. I will have their attention called again to the matter. I much regret the delay in affording the information.
