§ Mr. McNEILLThe answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. In reply to the second part, His Majesty's Government have; not yet received -definite information as to the exact nature of the concessions, but it is evident that there could be no grounds for hostility to the grant of new concessions by the Turkish Government in Turkish territory except in the event of their conflicting with concessions previously granted to British subjects.
