§ Sir R. SANDERSIt is estimated that the Exchequer Grant necessary to make good the deficit resulting from a reduction in the assessment on agricultural land from one-half to one-quarter will amount to about £2,750,000 per annum for England and Waifs, and corresponding provision will be made in the case of Scotland.
