HC Deb 12 April 1923 vol 162 c1273
8. Mr. F. ROBERTS

asked the Minister of Pensions whether relatives of pensioners who die in a Ministry institution, and are buried in the district in which the institution is situate, are refused their travelling expenses in attending the funeral; and whether, in view of the saving to public funds effected by the relatives' decision not to press for the body to be conveyed home for interment, he will sanction the payment of reasonable travelling expenses?

Major TRYON

I am glad to have had this point brought to notice, and I have, now arranged that where necessary reasonable travelling expenses of two near relatives will be paid.
