§ Mr. McNEILLAccording to the information of His Majesty's Government, the Greek troops completed the evacuation of Smyrna on the evening of 8th September. Turkish cavalry entered Smyrna at 11 a.m. on the next day. The 266 evidence of reliable witnesses is to the effect that the fire was started by Turkish soldiers.
