BRAMSDONasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether the vacancy which existed in Division II pay office of the Royal Naval Barracks, Portsmouth, for a commissioned or warrant writer has been filled by the appointment of a senior paymaster lieutenant-commander to that division; and, in view of the fact that the accountant officers now borne for duty in Division II of the Royal Naval Barracks, Portsmouth, are one paymaster captain, two paymaster lieutenant-commanders, and one paymaster lieutenant, will he state the reasons for such an appointment?
§ Mr. AMERYA paymaster lieutenant-commander has been appointed temporarily in this vacancy, but he will be replaced in the near future by either a commissioned or warrant writer or a paymaster-lieutenant promoted from warrant rank. Such an officer is not for the moment available.
