§ Mr. CHURCHILLThe British North Borneo Company has now furnished me with the information for which I asked. I understand that the company, in order to restrict gambling, does not put up to auction, but invites tenders for the monopoly and control of the gambling rights throughout the territory and not merely among the Chinese coolies on estates as the hon. Member suggests. The net revenue forthcoming from this source in 1921 was £10,800.
