25. Mr. MALONEasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if the Bank of England has yet called a. meeting of the central banks and banks regulating credit policy in the several countries, as recommended by the Finance Commission of the Genoa Conference; and whether America will co-operate in the bankers' meeting?
§ Sir R. HORNEI understand that the Bank of England is in communication 200 with representatives of other central banks in regard to the date which would be most convenient for the meeting and other questions preliminary to the issue of formal invitations. I am not in a position to say exactly what banks will be represented.
Mr. MALONEWas it the intention of the Bankers' Conference to conclude its sittings before The Hague Conference was held?
§ Sir R. HORNEThe meeting of the central bankers is a matter which is entirely independent of what may be done at The Hague Conference.
