HC Deb 26 July 1922 vol 157 c450
40. Mr. ERSKINE

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether the murderers of Miss Lomax, who was murdered at her residence near the Garden Tomb, Jerusalem, on the 29th May, 1921, were sentenced to death and subsequently liberated; and, if so, will he state the reason for this?

Mr. CHURCHILL

The murderer of Miss Lomax was executed on the 17th December, 1921.

Mr. ERSKINE

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that, whether he was or was not, he is still alive and well to-day?

Mr. CHURCHILL

That appears to me. to he a very important statement, and I shall be glad to have the evidence on which it is based.
