HC Deb 13 July 1922 vol 156 c1461
78. Sir W. de FRECE

asked the Under-Secretary of State for India whether Tibet has asked for the loan of British advisers in any capacity; and whether, in that event, any recommendations are being made or have been made?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for INDIA (Earl Winterton)

The only request of this kind hitherto received from the Tibetan Government was for the temporary loan of the services of a mining expert. Arrangements were made accordingly for Sir Henry Hayden, late Director of the Indian Geological Survey, to pay a visit to Tibet.
