§ Sir A. MONDThe audit referred to is the usual half-yearly audit, and only one auditor with a total staff of nine assistants and clerks is engaged on it. The work of the audit has been considerably increased owing to the necessity for checking the claims on the Metropolitan Common Poor Fund under the Act of last Session.
