§ 7. Lieut.-Colonel CAMPIONasked the Secretary of State for War what is the estimated cost of transferring the machine-gun school from Seaford to Netheravon; whether it will be necessary at the latter place to build a new range. married quarters, and officers' quarters: and what the estimated cost of these is?
§ The SECRETARY of STATE for WAR (Sir Laming Worthington-Evans)The cost of moving this school is practically confined to the works services required at Netheravon and is estimated to amount to £3,750 for accommodation and £2,500 for a new range: against this there will be a credit for the sale of hutting at Seaford. The accommodation to be provided includes six married quarters for non-commissioned officers and men, but no additional accommodation for officers. It is necessary to vacate Seaford, as the land does not belong to the Department, and purchase would cost £30,000 or £40,000.
