§ Mr. CHURCHILLNegotiations are proceeding on the lines that I foreshadowed on 14th June, 1921, for the readjustment on a Treaty basis of our relations with the provisionally independent State of Iraq. The proposed Treaty will 298 in no way modify the obligations which we have undertaken to the League of Nations. It will be laid before this House before ratification.
